Started with a Simple Question
Back in early 2019, I was sitting in a cramped apartment trying to figure out why sending flowers had become so complicated. My grandmother lived across town, and every time I wanted to surprise her, I'd spend an hour navigating websites that felt like they were designed in 2005. That frustration sparked something—what if flower delivery could actually be straightforward and personal?
The Beginning: Trial and Error
Honestly, we had no idea what we were doing at first. Three of us pooled together our savings—about the price of a used car—and rented a tiny storefront. The first month, we delivered maybe twelve arrangements. We made mistakes. Forgot to check water levels on a Saturday. Delivered tulips when someone specifically asked for no tulips. But each mishap taught us something valuable about what people actually wanted versus what we assumed they needed.
Growing Pains and Small Victories
By 2022, we'd moved to a proper workspace and built relationships with local growers. That was the year everything almost fell apart, actually. Supply chain issues hit hard, and roses became ridiculously expensive. We had to get creative—started featuring seasonal flowers nobody else was using. Turns out people loved the uniqueness of anemones and ranunculus once they saw them arranged properly. Sometimes constraints push you toward better solutions.
Where We Stand Now
Today we're a team of eleven people who genuinely care about this work. We're not the biggest operation in town, but we know our customers by name. We've learned that the best part isn't the flowers themselves—it's hearing stories about the moments they help create. Looking ahead, we're planning to expand our workshop space by autumn 2025 and possibly add evening delivery options. But honestly, our main goal stays the same: make sending flowers feel less like a transaction and more like the thoughtful gesture it should be.
The People Behind the Petals
Rəşad Quliyev
Founder
Before this, I worked in logistics for a shipping company. Sounds unrelated, but understanding delivery routes and timing turned out to be surprisingly useful. I still handle most of the vendor relationships and occasionally jump in to help with arrangements during busy weeks.
Zeynəb Məmmədova
Lead Designer
Zeynəb joined us in 2020 after working at a botanical garden. She has this incredible eye for color combinations that shouldn't work but somehow do. She's the reason we started experimenting with unconventional arrangements that people now specifically request.
How We Actually Work
Our Process Is Pretty Straightforward
Every morning starts with checking what came in from our suppliers. We work with three local growers who give us first pick of seasonal blooms. This means our selection changes constantly—which some customers find annoying, but most appreciate the variety.
When an order comes in, we discuss it as a team if it's for a special occasion. Sometimes that means talking someone out of their first choice because we know a different flower will last longer or better suit the recipient's space. People don't always love hearing "maybe not roses this time," but they usually thank us later.
What Makes Us Different
We're not trying to be the fastest or the cheapest. Our delivery window is usually same-day or next-day, depending on your location. We charge fairly for the work and the quality of flowers. No hidden fees or surprise upcharges.
What we focus on is consistency. Every arrangement leaves our workshop looking like we'd be happy to receive it ourselves. We write care instructions by hand on cards because printed ones feel impersonal. Small details matter when you're sending something that represents your feelings toward another person.
